My Hand Book

So, my scanner has taken a trip to the repair shop today - actually it's because of the printer that it needs a fix, but it's a multi tasker, and one ability travels with the other. Actually, it hasn't been doing such a great job at either job since my so called "up"grade. What used to be a 2 minute task is now over an hour of s l o w communication between scanner and iMac, where the Twain barely meet... so, I thought I'd make a little video ditty up of an older piece with photos already stored safely away. One of my first mixed media books, where I threw just about every technique I knew into the mix.

This is my Hand Book, which hangs on it's Hand Stand... (sorry!)

Mixed media techniques and materials include copy transfers on contact paper,
beading, glitter glue, and broken jewelry...

stamping, sand paper, broken mirror, porcupine quills,
and even some real blood (mine)...

joss paper, brass wire, heavy gel medium...

more transfers and joss paper, joint compound,
magazine collaged image, and coins...

and also within the pages are embellishments galore,
encaustic transfers, gel medium transfers, nail polish,
and lots of acrylic paint.
