inhale, exhale...

breathe in...

coming back to the surface,

I just want to say

your messages have shown me

that doubt is unnecessary,
but may surface in times of extremity

so friends appear
to reassure,
encourage, and support.

My fever has lifted, and pain is receding.

Later today I have my first mammogram since surgery
and I should get blood work results -
there is a chance I won't be able to continue chemo,
as my liver is showing signs of strain.

However, if I get the okay, Friday will be round 7
with only one more round of chemo to go.

I cannot express enough
just how much the messages you've left me,
or sent to me personally, have meant.

They are all taken heartfully, are appreciated deeply,
and truly do help carry me forward.
thank you.

  1. You are more than welcome, dear Karin!

I'm sending you my best thoughts and wishes, that your liver is okay. And that the results of your tests show that you are getting stronger and healthier.

Keep saying, keep making these beautiful collages and whatever else takes your fancy. Just keep on being you, because we love you xx

  4. You ...have done something so raw and beautiful here ... archetypal ... Isn't collage an amazing, always emergent process ...

There's *always* a flow somewhere, even in your "dark night" creations -- the ones you've composed when you've been in constant, awful pain ...

I'm falling asleep as I type so must go for now ... will write more soon :-)

    Huge love!!
