Wow...the mixture of tree muscle sinew eye...well, that's what I see, at least...very cool...
ReplyDeleteThere's so much power in this piece, Karin. So stark and yet alive. Really reminds me that everything in this world is alive and has conciousness. I also get a vibe off this of 'ancient'. I love it!
ReplyDeleteSpectacular Karin. The colours and the simplicity.
ReplyDeleteLove Renee xoxo
dancing tree eyes...
ReplyDeletethis piece makes me feel that this is how your Old Soul will dance once your mobility returns...look at those undulating arms reaching out into space...so strong!
The type of old tree I gravitate towards. I like the knotty eyes, the gnarly branches and your colour combination.
ReplyDeletewhen i'm with old, old tree souls i feel in the presence of a Witness. the great, vast ISness of Witnessing the flow of maya... that's what i feel here...

Fantastic, reaching out - can't decide if it feels dark or hopeful to me - but I love it either way.

ReplyDeletea dryad!! a love it!!
ReplyDeleteKarin, you are a Tree of Life ... xoxo
ReplyDeleteEveryone is describing an aspect of what I was going for with this tree - visible strength, gnarled and tested by time, the elements; twisted and reaching beyond the limitations of the rocky earth I imagined it coming from... thanks for all the feedback. It is assuring knowing that what I was 'saying' was being seen.
