oh my... if your color theory teacher could see this... i'm sure he'd say you cheated. ; ) xxoo (these colors -- i'm swooning!!!)
As always, Karin, your work continues to inspire me. I love this one! what media did you use for the blue?
"So very, very beautiful.." she thinks as she pauses to embrace the moment...
WOW, Karin !!!Don't know what to comment. The colors, the image, the words...Wonderful !!!!
Oh Karin, these are stunning (as were the ones from Tuesday); the depth and color and intensity - wow!You are an inspiration for sure! I will embrace this day.
The colours are so vibrant, an old world painting for a new day.Love Renee
ha lynne!! xoxHi Sharmon, thank you. It's simply a layering of acrylics. I think I used 5 different blues though, and aquinacridone violet, and and some scarlet, to add that contrast for creating depth - just rubbing in, rubbing off, so the color gets worked in and takes on dimension and depth.Glad you like it so much Maria - it was one of those ones that flowed.Thank you Patti - I guess I needed to "go bold" with color and all, after the quiet serenity of yesterday! I'm a it skitzy that way :)Hi Renee, I like that. Yes, a new day, each day...
The hands and lotus flower combo truly works well. I have a deep connection to the lotus so this painting calls deeply to me. Colors jump, the scratching into paint reminds of ancient times. Amazing so many blues you used, I am, like your blog title, truly beyond words!
yum yum...can't go wrong with that fabulous warm/cool constrast and ...well...your drawing is ever so swoon-full
Oh, thank you Bev...Hey Donna, indeedy, get a little contrasting hues, and zingo! Lynne and I had been conversing color earlier in the day, and her comment was in reference to that chat :)~~~~~~~I was a little surprised at the intensity of color that kept not being enough, as I worked. I guess I needed to saturate myself, after yesterday's subdued calm, which went on for many many hours... I look at the two vastly different sets of pages and find myself curious about each voice!
Karin, This piece calls to me so strongly. The hands speak to me b/c I am a massage therapist and hands are my tools, my art for healing. And the lotus represents the transformational quality of touch.Thank you for inspiring me!Courtney
Brilliant indeed! These pages are simply perfect!
Karin, this is simply beautiful and a very powerful. I LOVE the color and texture. Just so inspiring!
the blue blows me away- but the lotus flowering of even the hand - amazing
Thanks for visiting and leaving your thoughts!
