  4. hmmm thanks Jay? :)

oh, it's a bit of everything going on currently Jaliya. Hard not to witness suffering when one's eyes are open (from natural disasters to politics as business decisions), which causes sorrow for me, but gotta keep eyes open. Also physical pain has been quite high - enough to bring tears. So, a bit of everything wrapped up in a simple image... ❤

likewise Renee :) looks like we were on the same page today - I coulda used your quote with my image! xo

  7. this piece reminds me of Pema Chodron describing the 8 worldly dharmas as gloriously wretched and wretchedly glorious...also read as the sorrowful joy and the joyful sorrow.
thank you for staying present enough to bring this not easy imagery through...so honest.

  8. "The whole meaning of the word is looking into something with clarity and precision, seeing each component as distinct and separate, and piercing all the way through so as to perceive the most fundamental reality of that thing. This process leads to insight into the basic reality of whatever is being inspected." -a quote from the book you suggested and gave us the free download site. thank you for that and for illustrating the ideas with such clarity!

  9. it's amazing how different the image(s) look when separated by even a small space - my focus goes right to the burning eyes and then to the tears... guess I'm sounding a bit elementary:) but it is incredible. I read your comment (above) and I understand the duality, well I already did, this just makes it incredibly more powerful! I just hope your eyes are not bothering you now...
