    Wow! Another powerful image that you have made. The bird becomes the rib cage-this image so helps me identify with your pain. It really is a lovely journal page even though it speaks of pain.

    Thankfully, this was inspired by something outside myself. I'm reading Alice Hoffman's novel The Ice Queen, and as always her words immediately provoke vivid imagery for me that I just have to get out! In this story, her main character has survived being struck by lightening, but is left with some very distinctive symptoms...
