It's often hard for me NOT to think about, or create back/spine themed imagery...Karin Bartimolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13490920503677450338noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-226993038032504896.post-18624459821120886282008-08-23T23:30:00.000-04:002008-08-23T23:30:00.000-04:00The spinal ones are really something. The spinal ones are really something.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-226993038032504896.post-21720699405467734792008-08-18T22:39:00.000-04:002008-08-18T22:39:00.000-04:00Not at all a stupid question - no such thing here!...Not at all a stupid question - no such thing here! They are photos of my collages that I am doing, within a single book. I started it on July 25th, if you want to go back to that date to see a full explanation. This process is called "Altered book art", where the artist works within an already bound and printed book, covering, or incorporating what is found in the original book into the new art form. Another type of book arts includes hand binding - which involve sewn, folded, and adhesive techniques to create a new book. My personal definition of book arts is creating an artful visual journey through images and content that unfolds over a series of pages.<BR/>Hope that helps! and thanks for visiting and asking.Karin Bartimolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13490920503677450338noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-226993038032504896.post-25161117124883088602008-08-18T20:57:00.000-04:002008-08-18T20:57:00.000-04:00This is fascinating stuff.
